Our History

Lynn and Raul, the creators of BrainyAdvisors, have instinctively advised friends and family for decades. They met in 2000 while working at a banking software company, in Scottsdale, Arizona. When Lynn and Raul collaborate on ideas there is no lack of imagination and creativity.

Many of these ideas have stemmed from years of creative work, the love of art and influences from Rotary International. Lynn had been involved with Rotary International 13 years and this past year nudged Raul to join as well. Rotary is a world-wide organization dedicated to humanitarian initiatives with an emphasis on Literacy, Sustainability, Polio Eradication, Hunger and Human Rights worldwide.

In April of 2009, Lynn was caught up in a company downsize and lost her position as a Senior HR Generalist and Recruiter for Tolt Service Group. Desperation being the mother of invention, during a conversation with a small business owner she found herself advising and shared the idea of advising with Raul. We fused our talents to empower you, the small business owner. Then we left the door wide-open to other smart folks near you to advise you and be available for onsite support.

While networking and searching for that next important job, Raul and Lynn started meeting to exchange ideas and creative sparks ignited. Lynn realized a need for consulting small businesses who will create new jobs as the emerging bread and butter of America. Many of these small businesses consist of a hard-working owner who occasionally needs advice on Human Resource solutions. While sharing these ideas with Raul, he shared the same insight regarding Information Technology. We thought to join forces and create one company that can help with HR and IT. Following the E-Myth model, Raul introduced the thought to franchise the advisors with the notion to replace ourselves. One day we may find ourselves conducting business on a beach in the south of France sipping coconut juice as a measure of our success. Henceforth, Franchiser BrainyAdvisors and DBA HRITAdvisors emerged.

To the present, Lynn and Raul share many common thoughts about the work environment they want to create. No babysitting here! We want only intelligent, passionate, and hardworking souls who love to dream the dream to make it their reality. Lynn gravitates toward the business aspects while Raul is drawn to emerging technologies.

The name "Brainy" originated with a BrainyWires electronic assembly kit Raul created in 2002. Early in his career, Raul worked with electronic gadgets. One evening while deciding on a name, Lynn and her friend Andrea insisted, over my objections, to use brainy with advisor. The name is fitting in retrospect since our advisors are way smart!
